Within this bordered circle, the central composition is arranged vertically from top to bottom as follows:At the apex is an ornate throne or seat featuring an arched back with intricate filigree and decorative molding along its frame. A capital letter "M" is inscribed within a medallion or cartouche at the top center of the throne back. A small five-pointed crown sits atop the throne. Extending outward from either side of the throne back are two large, detailed angel or bird wings, symmetrically spread.Below the throne, a single hand is depicted reaching downward, grasping a marionette control bar (also known as a puppet cross or string holder). From the puppet cross multiple puppet strings extend downward, fanning out toward the buildings below, suggesting the act of puppeteering or manipulation from above.In the lower half of the circle, a residential apartment complex, depicting the architectural style of a large-scale public housing project, such as those commonly found in New York City. The building is a massive, monolithic multi-story structure with a flat roofline and rows of uniform, evenly spaced windows arranged in a repetitive grid pattern across its façade, characteristic of mid-twentieth century urban public housing developments.
