| Description of Mark | The mark consists of a two-part black label. The top part of the label is a symmetrical four-sided figure with straight bottom and sides and a rounded top edge. The figure is slightly wider at the top than at the bottom. At the top and bottom of the top label are borders that consist of, from outside to inside, a thicker dark gray band, then a slightly thinner black band and then a beige brown band. Below the top border is the word "JAMESON" in cream colored lettering with a partial outline in beige that makes the letters appear three dimensional. The letters are assembled to form an arch in large capital letters. Underneath that is a red shield with a beige border. The top edge of the shield extends out in points to the left and right, and the bottom edge of the shield comes to a point in the center. The shield is crossed diagonally by two beige bands in an X shape. Overlapping the upper quadrant of the shield is a beige triple-masted sail boat with three horizontal beige lines underneath. In the left and right quadrants formed by the X is a beige anchor on each side. In the bottom quadrant is a beige star. To the left of the shield is the word "ESTD" in beige between two beige lines and with the letter "D" underlined in beige. To the right of the shield design is the number "1780" in beige and between two beige lines. Under the shield is a beige and red ribbon or banner with the words "SINE METU" in black placed between two black dots. Below the shield and ribbon is the word "BLACK" in cream colored lettering in large capital letters that overlap three sets of two thin parallel beige lines. Directly below is the word "BARREL" in cream colored lettering that overlaps three sets of two parallel beige lines that are slightly thicker. The bottom part of the two-part label consists of a narrow rectangle with two bands each at the top and bottom edges. In the center of the label are the words "JOHN JAMESON & SON" in beige script that overlap six gray stripes that extend across the label. |
