Description of Mark | The mark consists of a shield design with a thick outer border in blue and a thin inner border in white. The interior field of the shield is divided horizontally into three sections: the upper section is red, the middle section is white, and the lower section is blue. Centrally positioned and overlapping both the whiteand blue sections is a silhouette of the State of Texas. This silhouette is filled with a stylized representation of the United States flag elements depicted in blue and white. A vertical yellow line runs down the approximate center of the Texas silhouette. The word "WEST" appears in blue, bold, uppercase letters to the left of the Texas silhouette, horizontally aligned across the middle white section of the shield. The word "COMM" appears in red, bold, uppercase, letters to the right of the Texas silhouette, also horizontally aligned across the white middle section. Below the "WEST COMM" text and the Texas silhouette, the numerals "911" are displayed prominently in large, white, bold, sans-serif font within the lower blue section of the shield. In the upper red section, above the Texas silhouette, there is a design element consisting of a horizontal zigzag white line representing an EKG/heartbeat reading. To the left of this EKG line is a white silhouette of a fighter jet angled upwards towards the left. To the right of the EKG line is a white silhouette of a radio transmission tower. |
