Stackle is the brand name of 3-dimensional stackable puzzle toys that are available in an assortment of shapes, sizes, figures and characters. Each puzzle is assembled in flat layers. The bottom layer has a spindle, or post, extending upwards. This post changes shapes layer by layer. The center of each successive layer has a cut-out in a shape that corresponds to a shape on the post. For example, the bottom shape on the post may be an oval. Only the layer with the oval cut-out will fit flat on the top of the base layer. The next layer on the spindle may be a square.
