The shield is ensigned with a steel medieval helmet facing to the front, reinforced crosswise gold. Upon the helmet and issuing from a black and white torse (cloth of six twists alternating of the livery colors) is an American bald eagle, wings displayed and inverted, holding in the right claw an olive branch and in the left claw a sword erect. A red and white mantling (decorative cloth) issues from each side of the helmet and below all appears within a banner, the motto: "Not unto us, O Lord, But to Thy Name be given glory." |
