| Certification Mark Statement | The certification mark, as intended to be used by institutions authorized by the certifier, will certify that the services provided have met the certifier's standards as to providing education, training, and resources as reflected by the successful completion of requisite steps and standards with respect to: (1) maintaining programs that promote awareness of military and veteran culture among faculty, staff, and students;(2) providing mentoring and educational counseling for new and continuing military and veteran students, including guidance on education options and career opportunities; (3) offering college-level courses of instruction and academic enrichment programs that accept and apply military training and experience for academic credit; (4) making available dedicated emotional counseling and support services for military-affiliated students; (5) participating in federal military education programs and state-level military or veteran education initiatives; (6) implementing structured transition support systems designed to facilitate degree completion, high-wage credential preparation, career preparation, and access to supportive resources; (7)conducting testing, analysis, and evaluation of the knowledge, skills, and abilities of students for career placement purposes; and (8) organizing volunteer programs and community service projects that support military-affiliated students and families, including families of deceased war veterans, war veterans, current members and future members of the United States military, in the field of providing educational services to military-affiliated students, namely, active-duty service members, veterans, reservists, National Guard members, military retirees, military spouses, and dependents. |
