| Certification Mark Statement | The certification mark, as intended to be used by persons authorized by the certifier, is intended to certify (1) that the service provider was accepted into the University of Health and Spiritual Sciences (the University), and undertook and completed the following requirements of the University, namely, (a) completed a University approved detoxification, rebuilding and maintenance dietary and supplemental nutrition regimen; (b) completed 100 practical hours of training necessary to obtain the University designation of Certified Wellness Counselor; (c) completed and defend a thesis to the satisfaction of the University, as well as undertook and completed 1000 hours of lectures, assignments, and other didactic work at University, including a mandatory study of the medical and scientific foundations of yoga, including the study of over 50 major categories of disease, health disruptions and methodologies, asanas, medications, foods, herbal and homeopathic supplements, and an adjunctive study, from the following fields: acupuncture, acupressure, applied kinesiology, osteopathic manipulation, craniosacral care and counseling, traditional Chinese medicine, homeopathy, floral and herbal medicine, ayurvedic medicine, diet, and counseling, auriculo therapy, namely, sounds therapy, music therapy and vibrational therapy, chelation therapy, colonic hydrotherapy, detoxification, enzyme therapy, energy medicine, namely, qigong, tai chi, visualization, meditation light therapy, essential oils, aroma therapy, environmental medicine, hyperthermia sweat therapy, iridology, pulse and tongue assessment, oxygen therapies, stem cell procedures, said thesis, lectures, and study necessary to obtain the University designation as a Certified Medical Yoga Practitioner; and (d) completed a additional minimal of 100 hours of advanced yoga training to the satisfaction of University, and thereby earned the University's terminal degree, a Licentia Ubique Docendi (L.U.Doctrate) of Integrative Medicine; and (2) that the provider continuously engages in empirical observation, study, and mastery of the above fields, which mastery was reviewed and assessed as having met the standards necessary within the prior four years for entitlement to use of the designation Doctorate in Medical Yoga. |
