| Description of Mark | The mark consists of wording and design in the form of a seal, consisting of 2 concentric circles. In the space between the outer and inner circles the words "CHRISTIAN BROTHERS" are centered in a downward facing arc and the word "ACADEMY" is centered in an upward facing arc with a shaded circle separating each side of the adjoining arcs. The inner circle contains a single five-pointed star and said star sits atop an image of an open book with pages. Inside the book are the Latin words "SIGNUM FIDEI". The book sits atop the image of a shield which has a top border in which 3 sets of small rectangular bars each form a peak. Below this border, the interior of the shield is divided in half, with an image of a fleur-de-lis inside the left half and an image of a horse rising up on its hinds legs inside the right half. Below the shield is a banner which contains the number "19" on the left side and the number "59" on the right side and the Latin words "RELIGIO MORES CULTURA" centered in the middle. The star, book and shield images are superimposed over what appears to be a sunburst with 41 radiating points showing. |
