| Description of Mark | The mark consists of An image of the sun consisting of a circle with a yellow interior region and an exterior where wavy, petal-like rays are emanating outward from the circumference. Lines of the image are in black. The rays are of two types, the first being colored yellow and the second orange; the orange rays generally start and extend farther than the yellow rays. The interior region of the sun consists of a few curved splotches of orange across the visage of a face. A pair of black-framed sunglasses with trapezoid-shaped lenses colored teal covers where the eyes would be; the shorter parallel side of the black-framed lenses is on the underside. The teal color inside each lense is non-uniform with areas of white that denotes glare from sunlight. A non-uniform squiggly line is near the middle, forming a nose, and the mouth is sloped to the right with grimacing teeth locked together being visible on the left; the teeth are white and separated by thin black lines. To the near top and bottom of the mouth are curved lines sloped to the right to provide definition, denoting a scowl. The entirety of the image of the sun is depicted generally in the middle of a black-lined outline of the borders of the states of North and South Carolina. The border between the states is present except for the part covered by the entirety of the sun image. The word “CAROLINA” is written in capital letters along a curved plane across the top of the North Carolina state border; the word is in red and, where the lettering covers the state border, the black border line is not visible. The curvature of the word “CAROLINA” is such that the right side is higher than the left. Extending outward to the top from the letter “L” in the word “CAROLINA” is a small image of a palm tree. The palm tree has a green, leafy-region where the green coloring is not uniform. The leafs are arranged like non-uniform petals on a flower. The thin trunk of the tree is colored brown, and between the green, leafy-region of the trunk are three small, brown circles depicting coconuts. The bottom of the logo contains the word “SUNBURN” in capital letters. It is also on a sloped plane where the right side is higher than the left. It has black lettering and crosses the black border image of the bottom part of the outline of the state of South Carolina. |
