| Description of Mark | The mark consists of a large circle containing a smaller circle within its borders. The outer portion of the large circle has a blue base color with gold letters spelling out "American Society of Crime Laboratory Directors" which is written out in circular fashion from left to right within the larger circle. At the bottom part of the outer circle there are three gold stars filling in the space between the beginning of the word "American" and the end of the word "Directors". There is a gold circular boundary border line separating the blue outer base color that contains the name and gold stars from the inner circle which has a base color of purple. Within this inner circle are the letters "ASCLD" in gold coloring. The letters are designed to create a triangle shape. The letters "A" and "D" are the smallest in size and form the left and right ends of the triangle. The letters "S" and "L" are larger than the letters "A" and "D", and form the left and right sides of the triangle shape. The letter "C" is the largest and tallest of the letters and sits in the middle forming the peak of the triangle shape. |
