Description of Mark | The mark consists of A star at the center representing a Cartesian plane, with a short straight line having an "a" next to it and a dot having "(x, y)" next to it, notating an angle and the Cartesian coordinates. Surrounding the star is a ring of circles showing the process of drawing a subject one simple shape at a time, starting from tracing and ending with coloring. The base at the bottom depicts an open seashell (or open hands, or two leaves). The design unifies art, geometry and math, suggesting that something precious would grow from effort, such as a pearl jumping out of an open shell, or a child growing into an outstanding adult from parents caring and love. |
